Partisan is an old guerrilla fighter who treats the forests and back roads of Tarkov as his personal hunting ground. He appears across multiple maps, and unlike every other boss, the fight often starts before you ever see him, when you hit one of his tripwire traps.

He plays exactly like what he is: a lone hunter. He ambushes, relocates, and picks fights only on his terms. There is no entourage to warn you and no fixed territory to avoid.

He is one of the newer additions to Tarkov's boss roster and one of the most unpredictable, which keeps even experienced players honest on his maps.

Where Partisan Spawns

Spawn chances come live from the tarkov.dev API and update as the game changes.

Behavior

  • Operates alone across several maps rather than holding one territory
  • Sets tripwire traps along common routes
  • Fights with ambushes and repositioning instead of direct pushes

How to Win the Fight

  • Watch for tripwires along obvious paths, especially near loot and crossings
  • If you take a shot from an unseen angle, move first and diagnose second
  • He relocates after engaging. Do not push his last known position blindly
  • Fighting him near cover-rich terrain favors him. Pull him toward open ground
