Fence is exactly what his name says: a fence for stolen goods, running the scav network that moves loot in and out of Tarkov. Nobody knows much about him personally, which in Tarkov is usually a sign of just how connected someone is.
His inventory is a rotating collection of whatever the scav network brought in. It changes constantly, and every so often it contains something absurdly underpriced. Checking Fence is a habit worth building.
Fence matters most for two reasons: scav reputation, which he tracks and rewards with better scav runs and cooperative scav behavior, and the Collector quest, the monumental item hunt that rewards the Kappa secure container.
