Radio Station

Not a person, a machine: the switchboard of the whole endgame

The Radio Station is the odd one out in the trader files because it is not a character at all. It is the multi-band radio with a built-in cryptographic processor that lives in your Hideout's Intelligence Center, and every story contact of the late campaign speaks through it.

Mechanically, it is the story's switchboard. The Bogatyr squad answers on their recovered frequency, Mr. Kerman's encrypted calls route through it, and more than one quest step is simply: enter a frequency, enter a code, wait for someone to answer.

It appears in the game's trader data because dialogue and story handoffs are wired through it like a contact. There is nothing to buy and nobody to befriend, but without it the endgame does not happen, which arguably makes it the most important 'trader' in Tarkov.

Loyalty Level Requirements

Radio Station does not use standard loyalty levels. Access and stock work differently, see the guide above.

Requirements come live from the tarkov.dev API and update as the game changes.

Known For

  • Routing every late-story radio contact (Bogatyrs, Kerman, and more)
  • Frequency-and-code quest steps in the story chapters
  • Living in the Intelligence Center rather than a trading screen

Tips

  • Upgrade the Intelligence Center as soon as the story asks, everything late-game routes through it
  • Write down every frequency and access code the story hands you
  • If a contact goes silent, check the quest timer, several radio steps involve real waiting
  • The Story Guide chapters list every frequency step in order
